PostCanadian's Economic Strength Indicator uses AI analysis by three assistants using one single prompt. Gemini (Pro), Claude (Sonnet 5 Max) and ChatGPT are asked to analyze Canada's overall economic strength using one identical prompt. Their results are used to move the indicator across the strength gradient. When each AI assistant provides different results, the results are averaged into one single result.  Exact prompt used: "In this chat, when I ask, I want a 1 to 10 metric used to measure Canada's current economic strength. 1 weakest, 10 strongest. Use your logic to measure all current variables and metrics to give me one number without decimal points. Every possible metric for economic strength should be factored, even some that go beyond what a normal economist would use, but that you think should be relevant."

Provincial polling averages use the three most recent polls, unless more than three polling agencies have provided new data within a 90-day timeframe, in which case more than three polls are used. For all provinces, except Saskatchewan, the minimum sample size is 800. For Saskatchewan, the minimum sample size is 300. Polls with smaller sample sizes are excluded.
